What it does

Still PBS DeNoise keeps the voice and removes the steady noise around it: room tone, HVAC, fans, hum and rumble. It tracks the noise floor in 36 bands and only lets a band through when the voice rises above it — no FFT and no latency.

Clean sets how much noise goes. Turn it negative to hear only the noise, and use Delta to hear exactly what's being removed.

Key features

  • Clean (−100 to +100%), Process (dry/wet) and three profiles: Voice, Voice on a loud stage, Steady noise
  • Re-learn the noise in half a second at soundcheck; Room tail keeps the natural decay
  • Broadband or Multiband: 4 zones with Amount, Gain, Solo, Bypass and Delta
  • Room gate for extra quiet between phrases
  • Display of what the mic hears, the noise floor and gold bars for what's removed

Quick start

  1. Put it first on a vocal or speech mic.
  2. Press Re-learn noise while only the room is heard.
  3. Raise Clean until the noise drops between phrases and the voice still sounds natural; check with Delta.

GOOD TO KNOW

Measured: steady noise down 36 dB between phrases with the voice within 1.7 dB, and up to 44 dB with the room gate. It's DSP, not a neural network — strongest on steady noise, weaker on crowd noise or music bleed.
